Singer
* Songwriter * Dancer * Model * Voice-Overs
Christie
Smith has been performing in some aspect, since a very early
age. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christie began dancing
in recitals at the age of 3, piano lessons at the age of
4, and sang in the school choir since the 6th grade. Her
High School music teacher noticed her rare talent and began
entering her in vocal competitions.
Christie
moved to Florida and pursued a modeling career. She uses
her speaking voice to do Radio Commercials and "Voice
Overs". Suddenly, Christie began to wonder "what
if
" and decided that she wanted to be a "glad
I did", instead of a "wish I had". Afterall,
singing is her first love. With that in mind, Christie auditioned
for a band, during their tour of the East Coast. "Starfire"
hired her immediately and they left for a gig in Key Largo
the next week.
Since
then, Christie has been writing and performing her own material
as well as cover tunes. Her songs are based on life experiences
which everyone can relate, whether male or female. She stretches
the boundaries of traditional Pop/Rock music to the limit
then she will reel you back in with a heart wrenching ballad.
When
Christie pours out her soul in song, people listen. She
is an explosion of high energy emotion, gift-wrapped in
music.
Remember
her name-Christie Smith, you won't ever forget her voice!
