This month we had the gracious opportunity to conduct an interview with Alejandra Gutierrez. Alejandra is a Model, Singer, Professional Dancer and Actress. She was also Miss 2001 Playboy® TV Latin America.

After having interviewed Alejandra, we can tell you first hand that she is a very down to earth and sweet person and extremely determined to succeed in everything she does.

In addition to projects Alejandra is currently involved with, one of her top priorities is pursuing her passion for music. With her determination and talent, we can only wait to see what is in store for her fans!

Alejandra Gutierrez was born in Caracas, Venezuela on June 20th, 1979, to a Venezuelan mother and a Spanish father. Since childhood she has had an affinity for music, dance and communication arts.

In 1996 she traveled to Miami where she completed her studies, and began developing her artistic career by participating in international beauty pageants, namely Hawaiin Tropics and Miss Spain USA, in which she counted among the finalists.

Her first modeling assignment for television came in 1998 when she co-hosted the very popular “A oscuras pero encendidos” for Miami’s channel 41. Having achieved success in modeling, she started developing her acting skills participating in TV commercials for such important clients as Visa Card, McDonald’s, Bell South, Chevrolet, AT&T and Samsum Audio Systems among others.

In 1999 she was offered an acting part in Telemundo’s “Edicion Especial”. Her personality and enthusiasm captivated the producers of the TV show “Ay Caramba” on the same network and they offered her positions modeling and co-hosting the show for one year.

In 2000 she begins acting in Univision’s internationally acclaimed “El Blablazo”, where her gifted work prompts the producers to offer her a modeling contract for their new production “El Gran Blablazo”.

Alejandra’s participation in the very popular show was of great importance to her, but not content with being in just one TV show, she accepts the offer to co-host cable Media One’s “Miami Hoy.” Her position there allowed her the opportunity to produce her own interviews and segments, create graphics and learn more of what it‘s like behind the cameras. It was a great learning experience and introduced her to many televison, movie and music personalities which brought her closer to her dream to sing. That same year she began work on her music demos, working with important writers and producers like songwriter Roy Tavares and producer Roberto Morales, who produced hits for singers Enrique Iglesias and Karina among others.

After perfecting her musical skills, Alejandra was offered a top billing part in the very successful musical comedy “4 Guys Named Jose and 1 Mujer Named Maria” produced by Enrique Iglesias.

She has also excelled as a professional dancer and actress in music videos in Europe, Latin America and the US.

In March 2000, Alejandra is offered a part in the pilot of the first telenovela produced in Spanish by Playboy TV, “Latin Lovers”. Upon its completion, she flies to the Cannes Film Festival as Playboy TV’s Rep for her role in “Latin Lovers”.

In recognition of her performance and professionalism in the film, upon returning to Miami, she is chosen to represent her native Venezuela along with 12 beautiful girls from Latin America, Spain and Portugal in the Playboy TV Beauty Pageant, winning first place.

Alejandra now enjoys worldwide fame as a spokesperson and symbol for Playboy, one of the most prestigious and recognized brands in the world, and has graced the magazine’s cover and centerfold as Playmate Of The Month, October 2001.

She has appeared in numerous publications throughout Europe and the America’s, as well as highly rated television productions.

Alejandra Gutierrez knows no boundaries. Motion pictures are her next goal and has appeared in the American film “Smokin’ Stogies” with Frank Vincent and Tony Siroco (Casino, The Sopranos). She will also be a special guest in the motion picture “Shooting Blank” starring Patrick Swayze and in the film “Club Rage”, which are bound to be very successful. She is currently working on a new recording album.
