MDI
is proud to introduce the CityC.A.T.®, the first Compressed
Air Technology® powered vehicle available for the
millennium.
The CityC.A.T.® uses compressed air as its energy
source and requires no gasoline or batteries to drive
the engine.
With a range of 120 miles or 10 hours in urban conditions,
the CityC.A.T.® is a practical car for an in-town
and around-town city lifestyle. It provides the most comprehensive
solution to urban pollution:
IT IS SIMPLE, ECONOMIC and CLEAN
C.A.T.®
Technology
C.A.T.®
technology or Compressed Air Technology® is a patented,
proprietary technology developed by Guy Negre to run his engines with compressed air.
To date, over 32 worldwide patents have been filed for
the first zero pollution motor developed by MDI.
Although the technology is new, the idea isn't completely
unknown to Formula One fans or those interested in engine technology. In fact, every Formula One engine starts with
a shot of compressed-air as an Energy-Booster.
Guy Negre has simply extended its potential by turning
it into a single source of energy for running the engine.
Efficiency
According
to an independent study by the Financial Times Automotive
Analyst, the CityC.A.T.® is 40% more efficient than
other technologies.

Maintenance
Most
servicing and basic maintainence will be conducted at
local MDI facilities.
MDI is currently negotiating with a major national repair
chain in order to provide you with many options. Additionally,
consistent with our philosphy of local economic empowerment,
we intend to support small local businesses by contracting
and training local repair and service stations, an endangered
small business, to maintain the CityC.A.T.®.
All basic operational equipment on the CityC.A.T.®
used by MDI aside from the engine such as brakes, drive
shaft and steering mechanism are industry standard equipment
used by the automobile industry and require no special
handling, maintenance or care.
