Recently, Mazda has decided to step it up a notch and began releasing vehicles that could cater more to the aftermarket performance industry. In the never ending search to locate vehicles unusual to the mundane, iSS located this 2002 Mazda Familia belonging to Chris Bernardo. From the get go, the outside of this vehicle isn't your common Mazda wagon - this car's received some tender loving treatment that will be hardly seen at another car around.

The exterior has been adorned with a 5 piece MintBlue body kit - this one was the absolutely first in the US. Redefining all the lines of the stock vehicle and changing the look completely, this '02 Mazda began forming itself a new look. Suspension has been taken care of by none other than JIC Magic with their FLT A2 full coil over system. To counter the bright red hue of the Mazda, 18" Gram Lights 57P's are located in all four corners. Nothing but 215/35/18 Toyo Proxes FZ4's wrap the Volks.

Under the hood performance to help the car breathe include, a K&N Typhoon Intake System and an HKS Hiper Dragger Exhaust System. A Mazdaspeed Valve Cover set the engine bay apart from the rest.

Inside the car the seats and panels have been rewrapped in carbon fiber and suede. Various interior pieces have also been painted to match. Currently the Mazda has been enhanced with Bridge Zeta III seats, along with Takata racing harnesses (installed after photo session).

It's simple, yet sweet - shows that you can take a different vehicle and set them apart from the rest of the pack. Zoom zoom zoom.
