Throughout
the generations of Audi vehicle manufacturing, their styling
personalities were always kept subtle. The lack of coupe
styled vehicles often made enthusiasts stray away from
the Audi camp until recently. When the TT was first introduced
into America, mixed emotions gathered about the vehicle.
Perhaps it was its odd bubbly shape, or just the fact
that it was a two-door Audi; whatever it was, it captivated
Anthony from Racing Zone Auto House to build what many
had yet to see.
Jumping
quickly onto the new TT craze, Anthony walked circles
around the Audi after purchasing it, envisioning different
styles the car would morph itself into. Working with Racing
Zone as well, Anthony knew that his TT was going to have
to be way out of the norm, definitely setting itself apart
from the competition. Aesthetics was on the top of the
list, as the stock TT lines required some further supplements.
Mixing and matching from various companies, Anthony wanted
to blend the best of the best to create something no one
else had ever seen. Projektzwo decorates the front grille
while SGI supplies the front spoiler, accenting the front
bumper and natural curves of the TT. Along with the front
spoiler are SGI side skirts as the view sweeps across
towards the rear. A Mattig rear apron caters to the rear
bumper while a Hofele Design rear trunk spoiler adds spice
to the trunk. While the TT was being adorned with these
new body-lined goodies, Anthony had the entire car repainted
a custom Silver-metallic paint with ghost-painted Audi
rings on the doors by Silvio's Custom Auto Body and Paint
in Orlando. Along with the body of the car, the grill,
headlights, emblem, engine covers, gauge panel and steering
wheel were sprayed with gun metallic paint.
Now
that the outside was done, no car is complete without
a nice set of wheels. Again, Anthony desired to go above
and beyond the normal vehicle. Pure European enthusiasts
will quickly recognize the rims as Hamann PG-3's, but
wait, why are they on an Audi? Hardcore enthusiasts would
know that Hamann wheels are made especially for BMW applications,
and the occasional Ferrari Modena application. Anthony
took the opportunity to custom fit these 19x9 Hamann PG3's
onto his TT, wrapped in Nitto NT555 235/35/19 tires. The
car sits slammed on none other than a coilover kit from
H&R.
Under
the hood, the TT gets some extra boost power from none
other than Neuspeed. A P-Flow intake kit opens up the
air while a P-Chip 20psi upgrade bumps up the boost just
a tad bit more. Neuspeed dresses up the engine as well
with their polished goodies. A Forge Diverter Valve was
installed for boost happy moments, with all exhaust fumes
expelled from a custom setup with dual A'pexi N1 mufflers.
Last but not least, an A'pexi EL boost gauge monitors
the boost while a S-AFC fine tunes the fuel.
In
car electronics was done by none other than Sound Depot
& Performance in Gainesville and Ocala. A Clarion
VRX925VD head unit with TV and DVD player entertains the
driver and passenger while Focal mid and highs shrill
through the doors. Two Xtant amps (1001 & 604) power
the two Treo SS 10" subs along with the mids and
highs, while a Stinger
ST-SP1000 battery and cables ensure the constant power
to all the electronics. Last but not least, a Clarion
TV monitor is custom mounted in the trunk along with the
two subs in a custom fiberglass enclosure.
Perhaps
Audi should take a glimpse at Anthony's TT and take some
notes in prepping their newer generation vehicles, dont
you think?
