When BMW first introduced the 328is into the market, many people feasted their eyes on a delicate piece of machinery. Its original lines provided a stylish look that would last years to come. Ryan Castro opted for this 1997 328is as a car to not only set himself apart from the scene, but to provide a stylish look that would last many more years to come.

This 328is has it all. Engulfing a complete street and show car, Ryan went the whole nine yards with modifications. Starting with the outside, where everything is most noticeable, Ryan further enhanced the original lines of the BMW with a full Esquiss Rafale widebody that has been spiced up with carbon fiber pieces. Matching the rest of the vehicle with a carbon fiber hue, Ryan added mirrors, side skirt inserts, splitter and rear spoiler, all of carbon fiber form. The roof has been specially designed with a custom roof spoiler and the front of the car has been allowed to breathe with a little aid from custom hood vents. E46 style headlight eyebrows give the car a menacing stare while shaved emblems and painted moldings make the car much cleaner, flowing from hood to trunk. The entire car was then laid and sprayed with a shade of Kool Kustoms custom red Kandy Paint to set it apart from the European crowd. An Aircraft style gas cap was added as well while the car got its complete body work. Last but not least, euro clears clean up the look, getting rid of the unstylish and unfavorable amber that we all so much despise.

Now with all that work on the outside, Ryan had to go indulging himself with more interior modification fun. The whole interior was re-trimmed by Kreative Interiors spicing it up with grey/black and a hint of red. 2 Cobra Sidewinders (fully adjustable) equip the driver and passenger while a MOMO Champion Steering wheel gives the driver something to grip on to. SABELT 4 point safety harnesses are equipped when the car runs on full pressure. The entire dash has been wrapped in carbon fiber along with the airbag lid and center console. But that wasn't enough carbon fiber for Ryan, he decided to custom insert fiber door inserts and rear panels. A BMW aluminum shift knob is gripped during quick shifts while UUC pedals are stomped on. Legend-5 Aluminum floor mats decorate the floor of the interior while a UUC e-brake handle match the pedals. Silver gauges spice up the clusters while an Autometer pillar mount houses a Boost Gauge and Water Temp gauge. A custom 4 point roll cage was installed for safety reasons...why you ask? Read on!

Prying our grimy hands under the hood, we revealed to ourselves a 328 equipped with a Stage 2 Mechtech Turbo kit, equipped with a self-contained VATN ball-bearing T04 Turbine. A polished AA intake elbow help flows the air through the Monster Flow intake into a custom manifold. An HKS Super-Sequential BOV regulate the boost while under the 7.5psi of pressure while a boost sensitive fuel pressure regulator flows the correct fuel pressure. HKS equips the car with the ever-important air fuel control while RC engineering 35lb injectors regulate the fuel. A polished APEX GT-R intercooler grins from behind the front bumper. Decorations under the hood include a carbon fiber fuse box cover, radiator cover, chromed pipes, polished oil cap and Vortiel supplies the carbon fiber engine cover and fuel rail cover. All the exhaust fumes are expelled through the 3" racing exhaust into the custom race muffler w/ carbon fiber Borla Tips.

To back up the performance from the engine, Ryan dug into the 328's transmission by upgrading to a UUC short shifter for quicker throws, Delrin bushings and custom tranny mounts ensure everything's held in place. A UUC 11lb flywheel makes revving quick while a Sach Sport M3 clutch grips the power to the ground.

Again, a complete show car is not essentially complete without a wicked stereo. Ryan's car is far from lacking in that department as well. Diamond equipped the 328 with Hex 500S components along with Diamond MID bass. 2 Massive Audio 12" subs drop the bass that's powered by 3 x 600 watt Massive AMPS. A 7 inch NESA screen plays the entertainment while 2x1.5 massive farrad capacitors work under full load. A Pioneer DEH840MP heads all the electronics that are always spiced up with a DVD player and game port plug ins. All this is of course engulfed through a custom fiberglass box enclosure and amp rack.

Lighting upgrades include 6000K HID low beams along with custom h7 fog lamps. For the day time, Ryan opted for the demon eyes look along with H1 high beams. All the lighting is shown through Euro spec headlight housings.

Now what does this wicked 328 sit on? Nothing but 19" HRE 546 with gun metallic centers. Ryan rides staggered with 19 x 9 in the front and 19 x 10.5 in the rear. The front HRE's are wrapped with NT555R 245/35 while the rears are covered with a nice and wide 275/30. The car is lowered with KW Variant II coilovers. M3 sway bars regulate the rest of the suspension along with a Racing Dynamics strut tower bar.

Braking, of course, has been noted with 13" Brembo 4-piston brakes. The rotors are cross drilled while Brembo pads hide behind the black calipers.

Low and behold, a beauty that will stand the test of time...that is, Ryan's 328is.
