It now presents five or six productions each year in the Miami-Dade County Auditorium, featuring the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra from Ft. Lauderdale. The series brings such luminaries as Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti to Miami; in fact, Pavarotti made his American debut with the company in 1965, in Lucia di Lammermoor.
