Where everyone is treated like a Celebrity.
In
the heart of the South Beach club district is a mid-size
Euro-style dance club catering to a discerning, Mature,
upscale clientele. These patrons of only the trendiest
nightspots seek a sophisticated, exciting ambiance in
which to entertain and be entertained. They find what
they're searching for at 655 Washington Ave. in Miami
Beach. They've arrived at the Club Bash.
The
History of Bash
Bash
is the originator of the nightlife club era in South Beach
and where it all started. The culmination of the efforts
of a particularly dynamic group of people. Club owners
Sean Penn and rock star Mick Hucknall of Simply Red have
been involved in the venture since its inception. Also
involved in the creation of Bash are Thierry Klemeniuk,
former owner of Paris' popular Follies Pigalle and artistic
director at many successful clubs and restaurants in Paris,
including Le Palace, Le Central and Club L'Arc. Previous
Owners Alexis Ougrik, owner of Los Angeles' famous 20/20
Club for five years has also brought his experience to
Bash. The trend of success lives on and has been carried
on by current Owner Steve Gabur and Gilles Curtat who
have successfully kept the BASH tradition alive settling
for nothing less then excellence and making everyone that
walks into the club feel like a celebrity.
Considered
one of Florida's hippest, hottest clubs, Bash has been
frequented by various celebrities from both the movie
and music industry. Jack Nicholson, Bobby Brown, Antonio
Banderas, Johnny Depp, David Lee Roth, Robert De Niro,
supermodel Linda Evangelista, Cher, Dennis Hopper, James
Woods are just a few of the faces that have been spotted
enjoying the Bash.
An
estimated 1,000 people have flocked to Bash on Friday
and Saturday nights, eager to soak in the club's European
flavor - a mix of international atmosphere with cutting
edge House and Latin music. In fact, the club is so involved
in the music scene that they can include the release of
their own dance music CD on the list of accomplishments.
It's
a combination of locals and tourists that have contributed
to the club's success, combined with the frequent celebrity
sightings and creative theme nights. Bikini Bash, Designer
Fashion Shows, Wild Wednesdays and Poison Party are just
some of the themes the club has hosted for its patrons.
Bash
has been known as the ultimate party destination for Miami's
elite club goers. As you enter the newly renovated nightclub
from the protection of a velvet-roped, canvas awning-covered
front door you approach the long, elegant, wood and copper
main bar. The north wall facing the bar offers access,
through graceful arches, to dance floor and the two VIP
areas. The elevated DJ booth, covered with bevel glass,
overlooks the spacious main dance floor and VIP areas.
From
the back of the main bar, a softly-lit hallway leads to
the "Enchanted Garden", Bash's outdoor patio
area featuring a second bar, DJ booth, dance floor and
VIP seating area. The aquatic-themed decor of the bar
area combines with the marine blue of the walls, the soft
blue and amber lighting of the raised and enclosed VIP
area, and the starry pin lighting that glows from overhead
to create a magical, tropical Latin atmosphere.
Inside
the club, the main dance floor also serves as a performance
space on the many occasions when Bash treats its guests
to a variety of entertainment, ranging from vocal and
dance performances to cutting edge performance art. Combines
with a state-of-the-art light show to provide dancers
with an exotic array of visual stimulation.
The
club's setting is ideal for patrons who want to abandon
the mundane and revel in a luxurious and privileged world
where their comfort is the first priority. An evening
at Bash ranges from intimate to grand - it's a place where
nightlife, art and entertainment come together.
As
previous club owner Alexis Ougrik says, "Let us know
when you'll be in town ... We'll have a 'Bash' for you."
The tradition continues to live on.
